Q: When can you order the 2020 Corvette Stingray?

A: For a limited time, Chevrolet is offering an opportunity to request to reserve a 2020 Corvette through participating Chevrolet dealers. If you have previously submitted a reservation request with a Corvette Dealer, you do not need to do so again. Your dealer will be in contact with you to finalize your reservation, choose vehicle options and discuss next steps. Please note you are submitting a request to be added to a dealers reservation list for a 2020 Corvette.

Q: How much will the 2020 Corvette Cost?

A: Corvette has always represented iconic American design, performance, technical ingenuity and attainability. The entry 2020 Stingray continues that tradition as a no-compromise value proposition, as it will start under $60,000. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray goes into production at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly in late 2019. Additional pricing and packaging information will be shared closer to launch.

Q: Will the 2020 C8 Corvette replace the C7 Corvette generation?

A: While nothing has been confirmed or denied by Chevrolet and GM the current speculation is that the C7 Corvette production will come to an end in 2019 and the C8 Corvette will become its replacement/predecessor.

Q: Will there be a 2020 C7 Corvette?

A: General Motors suggested that it may continue to produce the C7 Corvette through 2020; however, the details are limited, and there’s plenty of speculation to go around. Most rumors suggest that the C7 production will come to an end in August of 2019.

Q: How much horsepower will the 2020 Corvette Stingray produce?

A: The 2020 Corvette delivers 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque making it the most powerful production Stingray ever. These ratings are with the optional Z51 performance package equipped. Base horsepower will be around 490 horsepower with no confirmation yet on torque ratings.

Q: Will 2020 corvette have manual transmission?

A: Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter confirmed to Motor Authority that the 2020 Corvette Stingray will not be getting a manual gearbox option.

Q: Are all 2020 corvette mid engine?

A: While nothing has been officially confirmed, during the July 18th C8 Corvette unveil Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter mentioned that the C7 Corvette had reached the limits of what can be done with a front engine corvette. He went on to say the 2020 C8 Corvette will be a “New Book” in corvette heritage which points to the conclusion that all Corvettes going forward will be based off the MidEngine platform.

Q: What will other C8 Corvette models be called?

A: On July 15th, Chevrolet confirmed publicly for the first time that the 2020 C8 Corvette will debut as a Stingray. It’s a classic moniker that’s been apart of the Corvette pedigree for decades, but where does the new mid-engined Corvette go from here? Z06 is likely to return at some point, as well as the Grand Sport models. However, with the engine now mounted behind the driver, we’ve heard rumors that Zora (in honor of Zora Arkus-Duntov) could be used for the eventual range-topping model. The name has recently been trademarked by GM, so it will likely appear at some point in the future.

Q: How fast is the C8 Corvette?

A: Chevrolet says the 2020 Corvette Stingray can run 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds on a car equipped with the Z51 Performance Package. Unfortunately, Quarter-mile and top speed figures for the 2020 Corvette Stingray have yet to been released, but an unrestricted speed close to 200 mph is likely.

Q: Will the 2020 Corvette have a convertible option?

A: All 2020 Corvette will come standard with a removable roof panel that will fit conveniently into the Corvettes rear truck compartment. You’ll also have three options of roof styles; a matching body color, a transparent glass roof, or a carbon fiber option. If you stuck around for the full live streamed reveal event you would have been teased with images of the planned/upcoming convertible 2020 Corvette. You can see this below!
