This 1969 Camaro SS350 was actually Paul’s wife Patricia’s car during high school. Unfortunately for the newlyweds, they did not have anywhere to safely store the Camaro indoors at that time. It was decided that they would give the Camaro to Paul’s boss, who had a collection of his own classic cars.
The Camaro would stay with Paul’s old boss for the following 25 years, with him maintaining the car and keeping it roadworthy. One day, he asked Paul if he thought Patty would ever want the Camaro back. Paul figured that she would, so he told him to give her a call to work out a deal. Amazingly, he was offering to outright give the Camaro back at no charge, which was quite the deal.
“My wife being happy with her high school car and me working on it keeping it going makes me happy”
– Paul M.
While this 1969 Camaro may look relatively unmodified, it has a few quality-of-life upgrades under the sheet metal. The factory 350 small block has been upgraded with a Holley Sniper EFI fuel system, while the factory transmission has been replaced with a modern Tremec 5-speed unit. The pair have plans to eventually refresh the interior and replace the original convertible top, along with a fresh coat of paint.
