Alex Fs 1969 Chevelle SuperSport – Returning Home After 44 Years
Back in high school, Alex owned and drove a 1969 Malibu with a 307 cubic inch small block but always dreamed of owning a SuperSport one day. After many decades of hard work and owning a few businesses, Alex was finally able to track down and purchase the car he had dreamed about many years ago.
Alex bought this 1969 Chevelle SS396 L34 with 350hp fully restored from Missouri in 2013 and had it shipped back to his residence in Canada which was not too far from the car’s original home of Oshawa, Ontario.
Alex’s 1969 Chevelle was built on June 2, 1969, and rolled off the assembly line as a triple black Super Sport convertible equipped with a TH400 automatic transmission, A51 Bucket Seats, D55 Console, C06 Power Top, rare U46 Vigilante Lamp Monitoring System, J50/J52 Power Brake, N40 Power Steering, and radio delete.
Alex has since added a few factory options to the car including Full Gauge Package and an F41 Factory Rear Sway Bar. The car has won many awards, including Best of the show at Meadowbrook Concours de Elegance. Alex says,
“There’s no better feeling than owning a convertible and driving it on a sunny day, and this car earns more recognition than new Ferraris on the road!”
