The story behind Phil’s 1972 Chevelle Nomad Wagon is a simple one. As a young boy in the early 70’s, Phil spotted a Chevelle wagon with side pipes riding on mag wheels and it changed him.
“My jaw dropped, when I saw this one it took me back in time.”

Phil had originally gone to look at another vehicle, but he spotted this wagon and drove it down memory lane to his home in 2018.
The theme behind Phil’s ’72 is resto-mod, so it’s equipped with a 4.8l LS engine mated to a GM 4L60 transmission, which makes for a great driver’s car. It’s also been upgraded with air conditioning, cruise control, a four-wheel disc brake conversion, and digital gauges, among other things.
Phil plans to continue improving his Nomad Wagon’s interior next, but for now, he loves driving it and all of the attention this wild wagon receives. His favorite part about it?
“The looks, the thumbs up… it’s an eye-catcher!”
