Dave L’s 1969 Chevelle SS396

Built From The Ground Up

Dave L’s 1969 Chevelle SS396

Dave knew he wanted either a 1967 or a 1969 Chevelle, so once he stumbled on this ’69 he decided that it was the one for him.

This Chevelle is an extremely clean Florida car with all original sheet metal. He purchased the car when the restoration was at about 70% completion, finishing the rest of the work himself. It has a 396 big block bored to 427ci with 10.5:1 compression and a 700R4 transmission.

He has just finished a series of major upgrades to the engine and suspension over the past year and has brought the Chevelle to another level in his eyes. For now Dave is simply planning on enjoying the fruits of his labor until the following winter, when there will likely be another round of upgrades taking place.
