This 1963 Nova came to Russ through the husband of his wife’s maid of honor in 2018. Since he acquired the Chevy II it has underwent a full restoration in 2020.
The small block 350 that came with the Nova has been replaced with a modified 327 block and fuel injection has been added along with a TH700-R4 transmission. Rear gearing was swapped to 3.73:1 over the 3.08:1 that came stock on this example.
“It is a treat to drive. The color and model are unique. After having a 1932 Ford 3 window for 13 years this car has a trunk and a rear seat.”

The restoration entailed adding a new front clip with rack & pinion steering, along with new door skins, fenders, and quarter panels to get rid of the tired original sheet metal. His painter couldn’t match the original color, so the 1963 Nova was resprayed in its own unique color, as well as pin striped in two additional colors to accent the lines of the Chevy.
The last bit that Russ plans to add is a console that is being custom made specifically for this 1963 Nova. Once that is completed this Chevy II is basically done, for now. We all know they’re never “done”.
