Earl L’s 1967 Camaro

Built From The Ground Up

Earl L’s 1967 Camaro

This 1967 Camaro has been an ongoing project in Earl’s life since 2006, though he didn’t quite get started working on it immediately. He actually bought it off a friend that didn’t have a place to keep it at the time.

It took about a year of sitting before he began to disassemble the Camaro in preparation for the restoration project. Things stalled once more for another 4 or 5 years before he moved, and then another 5 years before progress picked back up again.

This time he had built himself a garage in 2014 and finally began to put in work on the 1967 Camaro, which was eventually completed by 2019. During that period, the only time the Camaro left his garage was when it was transported to a friend’s garage for bodywork and paint. Following that operation, it was brought back to Earls for final assembly.

He’s chosen to install a small block 350 which has been bored .30 over, and mated it to a Tremec 5 speed transmission. Fuel is supplied via a Holley Sniper EFI system.

Earl plans on leaving it to his oldest granddaughter when the time is right.
