Mike saw this 1972 Nova back in 2016 and it was love at first sight. He jumped at the chance to own and restore one of his favorite cars of all time for his first restoration project.
Mike and his wife Stephanie scoured the internet for a classic hot rod project to build. He was originally looking for a Chevelle but after his wife sent me pics of this Nova he knew this was the one. So our journey began.
It has been an ongoing work in progress as there is much still left to do before Mike could consider it completed. When it was purchased it had an SBC 350. He replaced it with a 400 bored 30 over with comp cam degreed in and comp lifters with eagle pistons. All internals rebuilt as well as 350th transmission with 3:73 posi 12 bolt rear end.
“In my opinion the Nova is at the top of the list of must haves for car enthusiasts.”

He plans to address the bodywork and paint with a fresh coat of blue candy paint in the near future, possibly adding Vintage Air to enjoy the drives that little bit extra. Currently he takes it out in nice summer weather for cruises.
“I love to take my 1972 Nova out on beautiful days and watch people get as much enjoyment out of the car as I do. Everyone wants to take pictures and ask about it. I definitely get lots of smiles per gallon!”

Since posting his Nova he has added: a fresh coat of paint. Some amazing Halo LED headlights. Complete Wilwood disc brakes all around with Wilwood master cylinder, as well as a 2000 watt Pioneer sound system. This Nova is really something to look at! The next upgrade will be changing coil overs to QA 1 and then adding bucket seats with a custom console.
This Nova is special to Mike because both his grandmother and mother got to ride with him and see the transformation of this beautiful classic before they passed.
