Thomas bought the 1972 Nova during the summer of 2020 from a widow whose husband had built the Nova and passed away. It had been sitting under a carport for 15 years before Thomas got his hands on it. Based on the VIN this was a Rally Nova.
Thomas simply replaced the gas tank and fuel lines, added a Holley electric fuel pump, rebuilt the carburetor, and it fired right up after the sitting all those years. It currently has a crate 350 small block with an Edelbrock intake and a Weber carburetor sitting up top. Exhaust gasses leave through a Flowmaster exhaust. Power is put through a TH350 transmission with an Eaton 3.55 geared positraction rear end.
“I have always been a Chevy guy and this deal was a great buy! I plan on keeping the patina look.“
On the interior, the 1972 Nova has the factory bench seat at the moment, but Thomas intends to swap over to a pair of bucket seats with console floor shifter. He also plans on getting the factory air conditioning working once again.
