Tracy has always been passionate about muscle cars. That is how she came to own this 1971 Chevelle. Tracy was never a Barbie girl. She was happier playing with matchbox cars and hot wheels when growing up.
Her first muscle car was a 1967 Chevelle. Then a few years later, she bought a 1967 SS Chevelle. She had the 1967 SS Chevelle for over 10 years. Life happened, and she had to sell her. That was a horrible day for Tracy.
After she sold her the 1967 SS Chevelle, she bought a 1988 IROC. Loved the car, but she was missing the classic muscle car feel. So, she traded her in towards a 1971 El Camino, which happened in 2003. She still has the El Camino to this day.
In 2015, Tracy began her search for another Chevelle. She narrowed her search down to 3 years, 1969, 1970, and 1971. She wanted one that wasn’t abused, so she obsessively searched every day for approximately a year.
Then one day, she found a 1971 Chevelle Malibu with a 383 Stroker. Tracy found her on Craigslist, and she looked great in the pictures. She was anxious to see her in person. So, early Saturday morning, she and her boyfriend grabbed their trailer and headed South to Oregon.
When they got there, her current owner had the 1971 Chevelle Malibu sitting in the driveway. She looked great!! They actually let them take her for a test drive by themselves! Very trusting!
Of course, she fell in love with the 1971 Chevelle Malibu and had to have her!! Before she found her, she almost gave up hope. Tracy was not liking, what she was seeing out there, and is very glad she did not give up the search. The Chevelle has been a great addition to her family. She drives both her and the El Camino as much as possible!
Features include:
383 Stroke
Mutha Thumpr Cam
Automatic
B&M Shifter
Approximately 460 HP
Flowmasters
People usually hear her before they see her…Lol!
Another cool thing about the Chevelle is the car actually has a rear window defogger that still works.
Some day she may change her color. Tracys El Camino is black with white stripes. She thought it might look kind of cool to have the Chevelle done to match her.
