The 1970 Chevelle started its life in California, bought off the showroom floor by Joe’s best friend’s dad. Later they moved to Wisconsin, where it was later sold to his best friend.
It rarely was driven by his friend. So Joe told him when he first got it to give him first dibs on it if he ever sold it. Well, that came 3 years ago, and he immediately tore into the 50-year-old pallet.
Doing a full interior restoration with bench seats and carpet he did himself. 4 wheel disc brake conversion, full-suspension coil overs all around sway bars front and rear. New wheels, tires, paint, and bodywork on the 1970 Chevelle.
Now he just enjoys the comments when he drives it. Yes, he daily beats on it as it is meant to be a driver, not a trailer queen.
It’s an original small block chevy 350 with mild cam and original turbo 350 transmission automatic.
For the future, he wants more horsepower and will be swapping out the transmission for a manual one and a stronger Currie rear end.
