Darren’s wife helped to make his childhood dream come true. After many days, and many hours of looking up and down the East coast. He found the car of his dreams. A 1971 Camaro SS 350 numbers matching motor, transmission, and rear end.
All original sheet metal. He is the second owner of the 1971 Camaro, it was never driven in the winter or rain. She has lived her whole life in a heated garage.
The engine is the numbers matching 350. It has been bored .30 over. He has put flat top pistons in it, it has a GM Lt-1 aluminum winters 4 barrel intake, a holly 4 barrel double pumper carburetor, hooker long tube headers, 202 camel back heads, and a 3/4 COMP cam. The transmission is a super t-10 4 speed. It has 373 gears in the rear end with Lakewood traction bars.
After all these years, it started out as an SS 350 and stayed original. The owner never cloned the car as a Z/28.
He plans on restoring it back to 100% and showing it at car shows and drive-ins.
