For Years, Michael looked for a Chevelle. He went to many Mecum auctions with his Dad, but he always fell short on the bid. Everything was always just out of reach. Then this 1970 Chevelle showed up.
His dad was working out of town and ran across this 1970 Chevelle. It looked like a winner. A lot was fine on it, but it still needed more love. They made a deal and set off to pick it up with an old Ford van and an open trailer.
Together they have rebuilt the Muncie, carb, exhaust, and lots of other parts. They also did a ton of detail work. It is a 454 with Edelbrock intake, Holley 750, Muncie M21, and a 12 bolt posi.
Unfortunately, he could not afford a real SS. This is a 1970 Chevelle frame off that started life as a Canada-built Malibu. Now is a full SS trim inside and out. It is an outstanding tribute car.
For the future, he plans on only driving it on nice days and to car shows. It’s his muscle first car. He plans to keep it forever.
