Eduardo’s dad bought this 1971 Nova in his early 20s and raced it around his hometown. After getting married and having kids the car turned into the family car aka “the grocery getter” lol.
The car was used up until 1992 and then got parked. Eduardo always loved the car, and his dad would always tell him that it was going to be his car.
After sitting for about 5 years (he was around 13 years old) a friend of his dad’s asked him to sell him the car to turn it into a race car. His dad told him that it wasn’t his anymore and that he would have to ask Eeduardo to sell it because it belonged to him.
That is the day that he took ownership of the 1971 Nova and will never forget it. That day he also told himself that he would never sell it so that he could pass it on to his kids.
The Motor in the 1971 Nova is a 5.3 LS engine mated to a 4L60E transmission, that came out of a 2003 donor truck. The motor has a VRX3 cam from Vengeance Racing, Speedway 1-7/8 headers, LS1 intake with throttle body, and cold air intake.
He has installed a Ride Tech coil-over suspension front and rear for better handling. Added power steering and power brakes (Front only). American Racing 18″ wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The 1971 Nova was painted about 3 years ago in Lemans Blue (PPG2083 paint code).
He has a few modifications planned for the car, the first one is probably gonna be a Vintage Air AC system because West Tx is HOT!!! He will eventually get better heads and intake to compliment the bigger cam and keep it naturally aspirated, for now, lol.
