Lisa’s brother passed away in a car accident in 1984. She acquired the 1968 Chevelle in 1986. Lisa ran it some, and priorities in life took it off the road with hopes to restore. Many years ago, the 1968 Chevelle got disassembled, and then no movement.
In 2021 Lisa had a dream for her grandson to drive the 1968 Chevelle to May 2022 prom. When he randomly mentioned it, Lisa knew the timing was now. She made some calls and the project got underway on Dec 12, 2021. there was a lot of hands-on deck to make this happen in 5 months. Inside and out were restored. All the hands invested in making this happen knew Lisa’s brother. It was road ready by May 6, 2022, prom. She could see God working through the hearts of everyone for a huge project being completed in such a short time. It was a beautiful tribute to Lisa’s brother, a deeply missed and beautiful soul.
Lisa kept what her brother had in, a 350 small block
They tried to keep it the way it was in 1984 with some upgrades. It was a non-factory AC. They got a unit and will be getting installed.
Her grandson drove it to his senior prom on May 6, 2022. His date Olivia, a foreign exchange student from Sweden said it was an amazing ride. They plan to go to local car shows, but mainly to share this car with our family to honor Lisa’s brother.
