This 1971 Chevelle belonged to his late father. It was his retirement gift to himself in 2009. The car underwent a frame-off restoration to its original glory. Over the years Christopher’s father added what he wanted to make the 1971 Chevelle personalized to himself this included 496 strokers, full UMI suspension, atomic fuel injection, and a built 220R4 overdrive transmission.
It’s Merle racing 496 strokers mated to a Freddy Brown-built 200R4 transmission. Eaton Tru-Trac rear differential with 3:73 gears. Fuel is delivered by Atomic EFI with a tank fuel pump.
There is nothing really unique about the 1971 Chevelle only personalized to Christopher’s dad’s taste. The one thing everyone raves about the car is the color. Mulsanne Blue with white interior, stripes, and top.
The last thing his dad wanted to do is upgrade the brakes to 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. He also wanted to upgrade the steering to something more responsive.
