Aaron and Megan P’s 1968 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Aaron and Megan P’s 1968 Chevelle

At the time Aaron had an El Camino when their son was born, naturally, with only 2 bucket seats they would come up short. So, his wife said she wanted a 1968 Chevelle. At a car show, an older man walks up to Aaron and him only and starts asking questions about where he could sell his car. So, Aaron suggested things and while they are talking, he asks him what he is trying to sell. He says a 1968 Chevelle wagon, what were the odds? Aaron asked him where he lived, and he was not even five minutes away from the show. He and his friends were there but not with a car in the show so Aaron asked if he could see the car and go to the man’s home. They said sure, so they took the few-minute drive to his home, made a deal on the spot, and bought the 1968 Chevelle.

That was 7 years ago, now at this same show 2 years ago he walks up to me and asks hey do you want to meet the daughter of the people who bought this 1968 Chevelle new? Aaron was shocked it was his wife. They meet and she told them all kinds of family stories about what they did with the car. It was built in Fremont and was in Livermore, California its whole life. Zero rust and was all original until Aaron got it. 7 years later he now has two kids and his wife, and he takes the car everywhere to show up with their kids. Before it was painted, they even got a Christmas tree with it one year. And the memories will be continued to be made. There isn’t enough room in this box to tell them all. Just some great family times in a classic that was meant to take families together.

It has a crate 350 nothing special. Four Holley four-barrel, intake, headers, and a good ignition. Vintage air and a big aluminum radiator just in case the 402 he has sitting goes in it one day. 700r4 trans with 3.55 gears. Coil overs and adjustable control arms. 2 1/2 exhaust with flow masters and an H pipe. Also added power disc brakes. He removed the bench seat and put in buckets and made a center console with cup holds and a storage compartment

Aaron is only the third owner, and it still wears its original black plates, and everything in the car works and he means everything. It was originally yellow, but they had it painted a metallic blue which was not cheap lol. And all the brightwork has been replaced.

His wife wants an LS, he wants a big block which he already has, but they will see how that goes. They take it to Reno for hot august nights, they go to all the Goodguys shows in California. Right now, it’s pretty good they are driving it and enjoying it.

"I have bought some stuff from you guys and the knowledge and friendly service keeps me coming back. "
