Emmanuel and his son were at a “cars and coffee” when a gentleman asked if they wanted to purchase a Chevelle. Emmanuel asked what year, and he said it was a 1967 that was a ten second door slammer with a nitrous fed 461. The man offered to sell it for 1000 bucks, and his wife jumped on it and offered him $900. He took the offer and away they went!
Emmanuel put it in the garage and started looking over it. Come to find out it had all new body bushings, ball joints and upper and lower control arm bushings, and it had a complete tubular rear suspension with a Heavy-duty Eaton Posi with Richmond 3:73 gears on an 8.5-inch 10 bolt with Moser heavy duty axles. The ‘67 Chevelle had a 2004R transmission with a new 2800 lock stall, which Emmanuel replaced with a TH400 out of a suburban due to the 2004R transmission leaking. He dropped a small block mild built 327 in it for the time being until he could buy a 427 (which Emmanuel’s wife also wants). His wife really wants it so that when you open the hood it’s full of Chrome. So, Emmanuel made it happen for her!
Other modifications include Centerline Wheels on all 4 corners, complete with all steel braided lines and Heavy-Duty brakes from an S10 pick up.
The 1967 Chevelle is unique because it’s a 4 door Malibu, which isn’t fixed up as often as other models. Emmanuel and his wife enjoy having a crew cab for the kids to ride in the back, while cruising in their hot rod 4 door. Nothing super rare but still special due to its near perfect condition from being a 10 Second nitrous fed door slammer drag car.
He plans to soon get a Dakota Digital Dash, 427 Big Block, Dynamat new OEM 4 door blue carpeting and new headliner.
