Joe T’s 1972 El Camino

Built From The Ground Up

Joe T’s 1972 El Camino

This is Joe’s 1972 El Camino SS. He bought it in 1992 from the second owner, one month before getting married. Yes, his wife still married him, and they still are together…LOL.

The car is an actual SS to boot. It has a decent amount of options as well. Like power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, tilt wheel, cruise control, map light, rear sway bar, and a vinyl top. It is a California car, and just recently passed 87,000 miles since 1972.

Joe has made some nice upgrades to his El Camino as well. Including a 502 big block (with Hooker headers), 700R4 overdrive transmission, 12 bolt posi rear with 3:55 gears, complete Hotchkis tubular suspension, QA1 coil-overs, Wilwood disc brakes, and 16″/17″ wheels.

Joe has been involved with cars his whole life. Along with his dad and brothers. He has had numerous cars (and motorcycles) over the years. He even still has the 1969 Camaro he bought when he was 15 years old in 1981!

Joe’s future plans with the El Camino are to just continue to drive it, show it, and do burnouts!

"Been using them for years, never an issue!"
