Alan G’s 1967 Nova

Built From The Ground Up

Alan G’s 1967 Nova

Alan bought this 1967 Nova from a friend back at the turn of the century in 2000, but he had to sell off one of his own cars to make room for it.

Luckily, that friend had already done a few things to this 1967 Nova, namely dropping in a GM crate ZZ3 350 small block. Nothing too crazy, it was dyno’d at 360 horsepower. Over the years, Alan’s upgraded his 1967 Nova to a Tremec TKO 500 5 speed transmission and a new Lokrite posi rear end. This combination has been running strong for over 80k!

“It is so dependable and it has been on 3 hot rod power tours and in 3 magazines”

Alan

In order to match the upgraded drivetrain in the 1967 Nova, Alan also needed to address a few other aspects. He’s converted to power disc brakes and added in a quick ratio power steering gearbox. The front end’s been replaced with a CPP subframe and the rear suspension has received upgrades as well. The Nova sits on Centerline Champ 500 wheels to give it a nice stance.

Not to be neglected, the interior of Alan’s 1967 Nova has some upgrades too. It has a Sirius/XM satellite radio, Bluetooth CD player, cruise control, Vintage Air, and a Flaming River tilt steering column.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The ZZ3 engine’s been in this Nova since 1995, so Alan plans to pull and re-gasket the block and then set it right back where it belongs.
