Bill’s had a few Novas back in the day, so in 2016 he decided to pick up this 1971 Nova to relive his past. He is a huge fan of the 70’s Nova’s body styling so this purchase was a no-brainer for him.
This example is relatively stock with only a few minor modifications done. It is running a 350 small block stroked up to a 383 cubic inch block, which has an Edelbrock Performer intake, 750 CFM carburetor, and RPM Performance aluminum heads along with roller rockers, flat top pistons, and long tube headers.
That combination makes this Nova quite energetic on the street. He says it has roughly 450 hp at the moment. The transmission is simply a run of the mill TH350 unit with an aftermarket shift kit.
“It’s a 70’s Chevy Nova need I say more?… I like the 1971 Nova because for one I was born in 1971 and I just love the body lines of the Chevy Novas.”
Bill
His goals for the 1971 Nova are to simply build it up to be better than showroom quality from when it was new.
