Owning a 1969 Chevelle has always been a bucket list item for Brian B. In October of 2019 he was finally able to cross that item off the list when he found this ’69 in Michigan.
Fortunately for Brian, he had something the owner wanted in trade: a C5 Corvette. Considering this a no-brainer, Brian loaded up the trailer and traveled across the country to claim his prize.
Over the past 35 years, the 1969 Chevelle has been the one car he desired which he was never able to own until now. This model year is special to Brian because his father bought one brand new in ’69 when he returned from serving two tours in Vietnam. The memories of his father and all the good times had in that old Chevelle solidified its place on his bucket list.
”I have always loved the ’69 Chevelle’s look, and I don’t know what took me so long to get one. The overall look of them and hearing my dad speak of his and the times he had in it, makes me proud to finally have one in my garage. I know mine isn’t an SS, but it is a ’69 Chevelle; and that is all that matters.”

The 1969 Chevelle is currently running a tired 350 small block / TH350 transmission combo, but Brian is in the process of changing over to a 355/TH700R4 in 2020. The engine is assembled, but he is still waiting on the transmission. The next planned stage is a repaint and following that he will begin the interior restoration.
