Brian B’s 1970 Chevrolet El Camino

Built From The Ground Up

Brian B’s 1970 Chevrolet El Camino

Brian’s oldest brother bought this car in 1978 at 15 years old. In 1980 his brothers traded cars and his middle brother made the car what it is today. Brian’s middle brother passed away in 2019 and he found the car and brought it home.

It sat in a personal car collection for over 30 years and it’s a rolling time capsule. When he got it home a small paper fell out of the owners manual that was his brothers hand written insurance card. It was in the owners manual for 40 years. This is the car that turned him into a car guy and it’s a dream come true to have it home. Nobody in Brian’s family had seen the car in 38 years, until it came home. Very emotional experience.

The car has an L-34 396 big block with an M-21 4-speed.

Brian’s future plans are to paint the wheel wells and a few other things in the motor compartment back to black. His brother did all the chrome work in the early 80’s, and to him it doesn’t fit the build now.

"SS396.com is my go to for ordering anything. They have been wonderful to work with!"
