Brian B. always wanted a 1973 Chevy Nova since he was a teenager, but never had enough money or enough luck to find one in decent shape.
Then, in 2018 he found one and just kidding around with the owner said, “if you ever want to sell it”, let him know. Brian chuckled and walked away. The next day he got a call and the owner of the 1973 Chevy Nova. He was ready to sell it. Brian almost fell over and said, “let’s agree on a price” and the rest is history. Brian bought it for himself as a gift for fighting and defeating cancer when he was only 38 years old. When he was diagnosed and fought very hard to live and the doctors gave him only 5 years.
Today, Brian is 51 years old, and he is proving the doctors wrong.
He is going on 15 years cancer-free! Brian said, “it’s hard and it’s rewarding to go work on my Nova”. He said that it keeps him strong, and he wants to drive it so badly, hoping that this is the year. Brian has worked on his 1973 Chevy Nova for 5 years and he has loved every minute of it. Brian has done a lot of work himself, but had a lot of help also, which he is so thankful for.
The engine is a 350 Bored out to a 383 Stroker, Pushing a little over 400 horsepower. It has an old-school carburetor and a rebuilt 350 Turbo Transmission. Brian plans to take his 1973 Chevy Nova to car shows in the future and just enjoy driving it with his wife.
