This 2012 Camaro was a father-son project! Carsons dad’s airway closed in November 2019. Thankfully Carson was around and did mouth-to-mouth to keep him breathing until the ambulance could get to them. He made it to the ER, but then it happened again. He was intubated for six days. His family almost lost him. Carson was fourteen and when he saved his dad’s life.
After his recovery, his dad said he really shouldn’t be alive, but he is because Carson saved his life. They have always been really into cars, so his dad thought it would be cool to do a father-son car project and have it ready for his sixteenth birthday. They bought the 2012 Camaro recked and slowly started to piece it together. Carson learned so much during this time, and doing it with his dad is something he will never forget.
He’s only sixteen so his engine is a 3.6 Liter V6 six-speed manual. He was able to talk his dad into modifying the exhaust. He’s happy with that.
His dad’s good friend who loves cars too helped them with a custom paint job. Carson helped with the design and paint colors. It also has custom wheels and painted calipers with drilled and slotted rotors.
Carson goes for his driver’s test on October 27th. He plans to just enjoy driving the 2012 Camaro. He loves attending car shows with his dad and their friend Scott. He will keep this car forever as he has great memories of rebuilding this car with his Dad.
