Chris was scrolling through a marketplace on the night before thanksgiving 2021. Not looking for anything in particular. Just browsing as usual. And the picture of this 1963 Nova popped up and it caught his attention. He read about the vehicle and looked at the pictures and was interested in it. Chris saved the 1963 Nova and just went on browsing. Never really paying it much mind and after browsing for another 10 minutes he went back to the 1963 Nova where he had saved it.
He looked at the pictures of the 1963 Nova again and read about it some more. Then Chris decided to send the gentleman an offer on the 1963 Nova. Not expecting an answer, but to Chris’s surprise, he still had it and revoked his offer. Chris chatted with him a little more about the 1963 Nova via text and asked if he could come and look at it later in the week or weekend, and he said yes. Then Chris told him he would get back with him and let him know what a good time for him was.
By that time, it was getting late in the evening. Chris spoke to his wife about it, and she was on board with it. As he sat there, he thought to himself that he better jump on it for the price he said he would take before someone else did. So, Chris messaged him back at 8:45 pm that evening asking if he could come that evening to look it over. And he said no problem. So, he and his wife hurried up and got themselves ready and drove an hour north to see it.
As Chris pulled into the driveway, he knew from just seeing it in the headlights, that he was taking it home. Lol, so they proceeded to get out of the truck and started to inspect the car. Chris crawled underneath it and looked it over then came back up and asked him where he wanted to make this deal happen. So, they went into his heated garage and made the deal. Chris then went home that night then bright and early the next day (THANKSGIVING) he hooked up the trailer and drove back north another hour and picked the car up. Mind you, it was completely original when he decided to do some modifications to it as you will see in the pictures. And he calls it (CHRISTINE II …). And she is still making history.
The engine is a 350-sbc stock bottom end with a 268-comp cam. Roller rockers, air gap intake, and a set of headers.
It still has the metal emblem from the original dealership that sold the car new on the trunk from Arkansas.
Oh, it’s a hot rod so of course there will always be modifications made. Lol
