Dave has owned this 1971 Nova since 1991 when he bought it locally. At the time, it only had 16,000 original miles on the clock.
It’s been kept in very nice condition over the years, with the body being almost entirely unrestored with the original paint. The only exterior panel that’s not original is the hood, as Dave opted to go for a cowl hood instead of the stocker.
The interior is generally in unrestored condition as well, though several aftermarket modifications such as gauges and a shifter have been added per Dave’s needs.
“It makes me smile a lot!”

In terms of performance, Dave has pulled out all the stops to make this 1971 Nova a street machine. It sports a 421 Dart block with Callies crank and rods as well as Mahle pistons. This Nova also sports AFR 220 race ported heads, a Bullet roller cam, Morel .903 Ultra pro lifters, and an Edelbrock Super Victor II intake with a Pro-Systems carburetor.
All of this is shifted through an aftermarket reverse pattern manual valve body TH400 with a transbrake 3400 RPM stall converter.
While it might seem like he’s done it all, Dave says there’s always something else on the horizon. Who knows where he might take this 1971 Nova next on it’s journey.
