During David’s time in high school, there was an upper classman with a black 1967 Chevelle on Cragars that he instantly fell in love with upon seeing for the first time, and he’s wanted one ever since.
Fast forward 40 years later and David acquired this driver quality 1967 Chevelle Malibu. It was originally an automatic small block car but shortly after picking it up, David swapped in a 427 big block and Muncie 4-speed transmission. The engine has had internal work, heads, timing, and exhaust all modified.
Aside from the engine machine work, all of this restoration has been performed by David including the paint and body work. He says it has a lot of the features and characteristics of an SS but it retains it’s Malibu roots, much to his liking. As it stands now, this 1967 Chevelle Malibu is essentially done, and he was able to enjoy several shows and cruises for a few years before the COVID pandemic hit. He hopes to do so once again in the near future.
