Dax P got this 1971 Chevelle convertible from a friend of his back around 2015 and began a frame-off restoration in early 2019.
The restoration was only supposed to entail lifting the body and installing a new floor as well as suspension, brakes, and a rear end. Once things started coming apart, it became apparent that this Chevelle would need much more work performed in order to get where it needed.
“Just love the car and that it’s a drop top… who doesn’t like that?”

The 1971 Chevelle restoration now encompassed everything except the frame, inner body structure, glass, firewall, and trunk lid. Everything else was essentially replaced with brand new parts. That includes the 496 stroker big block and TH400 transmission that were swapped in.
