Dennis B’s 1962 Nova

Built From The Ground Up

Dennis B’s 1962 Nova

Dennis has been working on this 1962 Nova for about 8 years, finally getting it roughly to completion last year. There is good reason it has taken so long to get to this stage, this is essentially an entirely refreshed and modified 1962 Nova.

Dennis swapped in an L98 350 small block sourced from a Corvette in place of the original powertrain and a 700R4 automatic transmission puts it in motion with a Lokar shifter. The original rear end has been replaced by a 9 inch Ford Currie unit.

Since 1962 Nova interior bits are harder to get ahold of, he opted to install new bucket seats and covers for the 1965 model.

“It’s a fun everyday driver except when the snow flies or the roads are wet. Plenty of power.”
