Doug’s 1970 Monte Carlo is a one of 589 special order Montes from ’70, making it a rare bird. Perhaps even rarer, it’s also a survivor car, all numbers matching with 39k original miles.
This 1970 Monte Carlo example was built at the Van Nuys, CA plant, and he purchased it from the original owners who lived in Bakersfield, CA. Being a California car for most of its life, it does not have any rust whatsoever.
“Driving it, the sound is incredible, it’s a sleeper…”
Doug
This 1970 Monte Carlo is a green on green, original big block 402 with a 4 speed Muncie M20, and the rear gear is a 3.31 12 bolt. It does not have factory air conditioning, but it did come equipped with power brakes and power steering.
Doug mainly brings it out to shows, but he is seriously debating putting it out there for sale and seeing what kind of offers it garners. His dream is to own a ’69 or ’70 Pontiac GTO 4 speed.
