Gary found his 1969 El Camino on eBay. He had a 1969 El Camino as his first car 48 years ago. He’s always missed it. When he saw this one on eBay he knew he had to have it.
In the last 30 minutes of the auction, his wife said: “Why don’t you bid on it?”
He did, her mistake, he won the auction. So in 2016, he was the new owner of a canary yellow El Camino, 350+ engine and TH350 transmission. He decided to restore it to look like his original El Camino he owned 48 years ago.
He is a home builder, so this would be a new experience. So engine out, the new paint job in exchange for building the guy a porch, new chrome accessories, bucket seats, and on on on. He only has a new dash to wire up and it will be ready to go.
His favorite part about owning the car is that it takes him back to the 60s (a much better time). In the future, he plans to add new gauges and a lot of road time!
