Gregg recently purchased his 1969 Nova that he found on Facebook marketplace. Growing up his dad always had older cars, hot rods, and some very nice old cruisers.
Going to several hundred or more car shows growing up he grew to love the body style of the 69-72 Nova and Chevelle. Since he was 8-9 years old he’s always dreamed of owning one. As of a few months ago, he finally made that dream become a reality. He’s slowly been tinkering with it and even having dad help out to share some new memories with him.
It’s a 327/TH350. The 1969 Nova has a mild build on the current 327 and a mild shift kit/stall converter on the transmission. Longtube headers, Edelbrock victor jr air gap intake, Edelbrock 750 carb, roller rockers, and a posi Trac rear differential. It is a fun car to drive. He mainly cruises around on weekends and the occasional trip to work when the weather is nice.
The Nova was originally a 6 cylinder car the previous owners had swapped to a corvette 327/350 trans and a Posi Trac rear diff.
He plans on doing a very minor resto-mod build on it. It’s getting modern suspension and a modern LS motor/trans swap, and he plans to do some tours with the car around the area.
