Griff bought this 1966 Chevelle in 2016 with the intentions of fully restoring it. He started the process by restoring the frame, then installing whatever he could by himself.
This Chevelle is now fully boxed and has tubular a-arms up front and a 4 link in the rear, along with front and rear coilovers. However, his original plan didn’t pan out as he intended.
Before finishing the frame, Griff came across another 1966 Chevelle that he also purchased as the first Chevelle’s body would be too much work to restore from how rotten it was. Instead, he opted to merge the two cars into one, taking the best from both.
“now I try to tear the paint off of it every day after work…by going really fast.”

Griff’s got a 406 Dart stroker in the Chevelle now, along with Dart heads and a Dart intake. A Quickfuel SS 750 carburetor supplies the fueling, while a Powerglide shifts the gears currently. He plans on converting the transmission to a 200R4 sometime soon.
