Jason’s wife’s, Ashley, great grandma bought this 1969 Chevelle Malibu while working for GM at the time. When his wife was a few years old in the 90s Granny Rose’s wish was to give the Malibu to her when she was old enough to drive. The 1969 Chevelle stopped seeing daylight back in 1993 for safe keeping and was under a cover in his wife’s grandpa’s garage until August of 2021. Jason and his father-in-law along with his son and daughter have been working on it just about every weekend since. There’s still work to be done, but for now, they enjoying this beauty driving it around town and showing her off at car shows.
The Malibu has a 350 4-barrel V8 Turbo Hydra Matic automatic transmission with front and rear manual drum brakes.
What’s unique about the Malibu is the engine’s numbers matching, and the interior and the burnish brown paint are original.
Their future plans are to keep it original but clean it up and fix the areas that need work done so we can pass the Malibu to our son and daughter when they’re older.
