So, twenty years ago, Jennifer’s uncle and her took a ride down Solomon’s Island, she was only 13 at the time. They get to the Cove Point red light, and her uncle gets out walks around to her side, slides her behind the wheel and says “come on Jenn A Hen, drive”. After a couple “I can’t do it’s”, she sat on the edge of that bench seat and drove El Dogg (her nickname for the car) like a pro. Ever since then, she’d always ask her uncle to ride every chance she could get!
Fast forward to 2021. Jennifer called and asked “how much are you going to sell the El Camino to me for?” Her uncles reply was “go get your license and come get it”. It took Jennifer about a year and half to clean up her driving record, and she drove down in April 2022 and drove El Dogg straight home. Her uncle had a couple surprises too. He framed a T-shirt she made when her dad passed. He also asked if she wanted all the spare parts he had laying around. Jennifer ended up filling the whole bed of the truck with spare parts. The cherry on top, the windshield and crossmember was out of her dad‘s Monte Carlo. Jennifer’s El Camino originally had came with 305, but now it has a 350. She also loves chrome, and hopes to use her El Camino has her daily driver soon.
