Jonah wanted a 1966 Chevelle since he was 16 years old and finally got one when he was 36. Jonah financed a $13,000 classic car loan and went to Delaware from Rhode Island. The 1966 Chevelle was born in the now closed Framingham, MA. plant. Jonah’s focus was to find a rust-free straight body, and that was the case until it wasn’t. So, he spent 20 years making many changes.
The car was born with a 283 sbc and a 2-speed glide. Jonah has it in storage, but they will never make it back in the car, at least while he owns it. Jonah now has an sbc 383 stroker with a roller cam set up and an MSD kit with an electric fuel pump.
The 1966 Chevelle has Power original Strato bucket seats, power windows, added 8 position steering, rack and pinion steering, 525 hp. sbc 383 stroker with roller came with matching roller rockers, way overbuilt 2004r transmission with shift kit hardened drum with Kevlar bands.
Jonah is currently painting the car himself and so far, he has based and cleared the complete front clip. Currently, he is reassembling the font clip and painting the entire engine bay including the wells and firewall.
