Joseph F’s 1966 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Joseph F’s 1966 Chevelle

A friend of Joseph’s was looking for a car to buy and went to a barber for a haircut and made conversation with him asking if he knew of any cars for sale, he said his father was selling a car he had for a few years and he can no longer work on his car, so it was up for sale.

Joseph’s friend called him to take a look at the 1966 Chevelle, he gave him the address and Joseph proceeded to look at it. When he got to the address it turned out to be a 1966 Chevelle Convertible in bright yellow but very dirty. Joseph then asked the owner what he was trying to get for the 1966 Chevelle and Joseph then told his friend. The next thing he knew he was very interested, and he wasn’t.

The thing that stands on the 1966 Chevelle out was a bright yellow Convertible and he has a 1952 chevy that has been owned since 1968 and it is bright yellow. Now with the help of his sons, Joseph can drive a car that hasn’t seen the road in 16 years and enjoy his ride while working on fine-tuning it.

It came with a 555 big block and 700r4 trans and 12 bolt rear which was never turned over in 16 years just sat. It now has a 454-bb same trans and rear with a new top and a lot of love.

Installed a 454 bb, refined the 700r4 trans, and redid the 12-bolt rear with 4:10 gears and new posi.

Joseph of only 5000 made those 6 years that survived. He plans to make a nice not perfect but nice ride to enjoy.

"Very helpful in small parts and fast service."

-Joseph F
