Keith found this 1969 Nova on the web two years ago and purchased it from Carrol St Auto of Manchester, N.H.
Keith started reading Hot Rod magazines in the ’60s when he was 10 or so. When he was 15, his neighbor bought a 1968 Nova SS. Man, did he like that car a lot!
Many years later, when this ’69 became available, he jumped on it. It is a numbers matching 350/300hp motor, M20 4 speed transmission, and he believes it has an original Rochester Quad built by Carter. Look it up!
Other options include; Original SS, M20 4 speed, 12 bolt, power brakes, front disc brakes, AM/FM radio, rear speaker, heavy leaves. A few deviations from stock include headers, Electric distributor, Black SS stripes & black vinyl roof.
Aside from a repaint of factory Fathom Green, this car has not been restored. Since he’s had it, he sorted a few minor flaws but did redo front suspension a-arms, springs, and shocks.
At 66 now, Keith loves how it brings him back to his youth. He loves the looks, comments, and thumbs up he gets when he’s out and about, it makes him smile. Burning rubber never gets old!
Not sure about the future of the car, he may sell it for a ’67-69 Barracuda which is what he had when he was 19.
