This 1967 Chevelle was bought from the original owner. She was 89 and her baby had never seen rain or snow and only had 17,000 miles. The 2nd owner purchased it in the mid-eighties from her as a project for him and his son. The 1967 Chevelle was stripped down to the frame. The son got sick and passed away from cancer, the car was then loaded into a car trailer pushed into the barn, and sat for 20 years. Kim purchased it in 2006 as a father and son project Plus his very 1st car was a 1967 Chevelle. It had to sit for a few years the same old story no time no money.
It took them 4 years to finish the 1967 Chevelle. The only work that was farmed out was the paint job and the seat covers otherwise Kim and his son have done everything. The car was finished just in time for the 2012 hot rod power tour and that’s how they broke it in 3,000 miles for its maiden voyage. Since it has been on for more power tours and numerous shows this car was built to be driven and enjoyed.
It has an A496 stroker with a Tremec TKO 600 transmission. It puts 400 horsepower to the rear wheels and 600′ pounds of torque it’s a stump puller.
There are vintage air and electric exhaust cutouts. The underside is just as pretty as the top.
Kim plans on going to the car shows and the Chevelle nationals for a 1000-point judge.
