This is an overview of both of Mike M’s cars. His ’69 Chevelle and his ’80 Camaro based Cheverra VSE (built by Herb Adams/Cars and Concepts). Mike always wanted a ’69 Chevelle, and got this one in September of 2000. Shortly afterwards he started what would become a 22 year restoration! As for the Cheverra, he bought that new, in the spring of ’81, and it is mostly all original.
Mike’s Chevelle has a 454 with a 427 crank, making it a 432. It has a Comp Cams Thumper cam, with Edelbrock RPM heads and intake. It makes 513 hp/508 tq. It’s backed up by a Turbo 400, with a 3500 stall and a 4:10 posi 12 bolt rear end. In Mike’s Cheverra there is a 1970 LT1 4 bolt main block, Comp Cams Thumper cam and aluminum heads. Backed up by a 4 speed super T10, and a 3:73 posi rear end.
Mike likes to attend the World of Wheels show up by him. Where both cars have won. Both cars only come out during the summer on nice days. Otherwise they stay protected in the garage.
