Philip owned this 1971 Chevelle for the past decade and really transformed it into his own.
He had been searching for a green 1971 Chevelle when he came across this one as the sixth car he looked at. Ultimately, he decided that this would be the one after his best friend, who happened to be a mechanic and car builder for 40 years, gave it the thumbs up. The two loaded the Chevelle up and the rest was history.
This 1971 Chevelle came to Philip with 70,000 miles on the original engine, transmission, and interior. Unfortunately those miles weren’t too kind on the exterior, as he described it as the worst of the 6 he had looked at. He did get quite a run out of the drivetrain however, as he only recently replaced the engine and transmission roughly 3 years ago.
It currently has a 350 small block with lots of chrome accessories under the hood, and TH350 transmission with a shift kit coupled with a 3.73 geared positraction rear end. At the same time, he opted to replace the entire front suspension and braking system with tubular a-arms and power front disc brakes, respectively. Topping off the refresh was a new set of 15 inch Cragar wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber.
At the moment, this 1971 Chevelle still retains its original interior, and the next project he plans to tackle is a new paint job.
