Randal Y’s 1968 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Randal Y’s 1968 Chevelle

Randal is a simple engineer that tends to over-engineer any project he starts. This 1968 Chevelle build is not his first hot rod. He started in 1976, with a 1968 Chevelle Coupe, a 1986 Corvette, and then a 1965 Chevelle Coupe. The 1968 Chevelle is by far the most extreme build he has have enjoyed.

He found the car in a South Dakota shed as a roller chassis, powder-coated frame, and substandard body restore. The complete car was in bins and no drive train. He sent it off for a complete body restore from bare metal and began building the rest of the car as he waited for the gem to arrive.

It was a challenging build in a small garage and all by himself. He had over a year to prepare and engineer the assembly and to explore his hot rod bucket list of to-dos.

Virtually, a full Pro Sport ride, all parts are either new, restored, or modified to either fit as intended or re-engineered. This 68 has every Pro Sport modification that is made for a 1968 Chevelle A-frame. The kitchen sink was thrown in on this build. Check out the list below of some of its features.

"80% of the parts "except drive train" came Ground Up SS396 due to the quality and vast inventory"
