Robin L’s 1967 El Camino

Built From The Ground Up

Robin L’s 1967 El Camino

Robin acquired this 1967 El Camino back in 2009 by installing a gasser kit onto a friend’s ’67 Nova as a trade.

The El Camino didn’t have any rust but was badly in need of a paint job at the time. Robin always wanted a gasser of his own so this 1967 El Camino became the candidate among the rest of his stable.

“Only one around and its fun getting the front tires off the ground”

Robin

The build took about 3 years, but the El Camino wound up with a 502ci/502hp engine, twin carbureted with 1955 headers. There’s a beefed up Turbo 350 trans with a shift kit and a 2800 RPM stall converter putting those 502 ponies to the pavement. There may be a 632ci engine in store for this Camino in the future…
