Tim H’s 1971 El Camino

Built From The Ground Up

Tim H’s 1971 El Camino

Tim bought this 1971 El Camino in 1997 from a friend of his. It would be a present for his son’s 16th birthday and his first car.

This El Camino is a numbers matching factory SS 402 big block example with a TH400.

Around the year 2000 they went through the motor for a refresh, but not much else got done to the 1971 El Camino until roughly 2015. His brother came up with a plan to get it restored and back up and running.

It was my son’s first car and it is a numbers matching car that came from Down Town Chevrolet. (Oklahoma City)

After several years of work, this El Camino is looking factory fresh once again. They plan to keep it in the family for years to come and hit up some local car shows to show off their work.
