Tim L’s 1969 Chevelle

Built From The Ground Up

Tim L’s 1969 Chevelle

Tim’s 1969 Chevelle. Tim finally got approval from the boss lady to buy a Chevelle. Little did he know his father-in-law was behind the approval. He borrowed some money and went to look at a car a couple 100 miles away. It ended up being a waste of time.

He called his uncle excited to tell him he was able to buy a Chevelle. While on the call, his Uncle told him about this 1969 Chevelle. So, he drove another 250 miles to look at it. That same day he bought it. Sadly, during the build his father-in-law and his Uncle passed away both from cancer.

They would be so proud of the outcome of this project as he has won many trophies with the 1969 Chevelle. This also was his first ever build. He is also proud to say that his daughter, 13 at the time, was a big help and a fun father-daughter build.

He has a period-correct 396 for the car he will build in the future, but to get him going he bought and installed a crate 454 HO. The car is equipped with an M21 and 3:31 posi.

He kept the car as original as he could. The car is painted original Lemans Blue with a white convertible top and Parchment interior.

He enjoys showing the car, has been to approximately 65 car shows, and has won 60 trophies all in three years.

"I had great customer service with SS396 and great parts. The reason I stopped buying was my car was complete. I will always check out your website for any future needs. "
