Tom found his 1970 Chevelle on the internet in July of 2019.
He has been fortunate to have owned two Chevelles in his life. The first was a 1970 Chevelle SS396 that he bought in 1975, it was forest green with white stripes and had a four-speed transmission.
Other features included a dark green vinyl top and dark green interior, bucket seats, center console, eight-track player, and a CB radio. In 1978 he traded it in for a Chevy Blazer. That was the last time I saw it because the new owner was involved in an accident and totaled it.
Over 40 years later, and after several years of searching the internet, he finally found an almost identical match. In 2019 he purchased his second 1970 Chevelle SS396 from Mershons in Springfield, Ohio. The only difference between his first and second is that this one has a black vinyl roof and black interior.
This car is special to Tom because it is almost identical to the one he owned while he was dating his future wife. Now they both enjoy all the thumbs up they receive while driving this classic muscle car around town.
For the future, Tom plans on just driving the car and sharing it with his children and grandchildren.
