William L. has a special place in his heart for the 1969 Chevelle, partially because 1969 was an important year for the historical record, and that was also the year he met his future wife of 50 years as well.
This 1969 Chevelle received a complete rotisserie restoration over the course of 7 years, being completed on August 13, 2019. The Chevelle retained its original numbers matching 396 big block engine along with the original Muncie transmission, but was bored .60 over and fully restored with many goodies such as a Dana rear end, Pypes exhaust system with cutouts, and a Hurst 4 speed shifter.
His goals for the 1969 Chevelle are to keep it in original, pristine condition for the rest of his days. Once he and his wife pass away, they intend to have the Chevelle auctioned off at Mecum with the proceeds going to a foundation that the pair have created. By helping selected institutions, they hope to preserve their names and heritage with their charitable contributions to society.
