Designed for high horsepower, high compression engines, far lighter and smaller than OE starters for additional header clearance, high torque motor features a heavy duty armature supported on premium quality, ball bearings and a 1-piece steel motor housing for maximum strength, 3 HP gear reduction motor will crank up to 18:1 compression engines, multi-position index block allows motor adjustments for additional oil pan and header clearance, 100% copper band field coils (not just copper wire) and thicker solenoid contacts allows for longer cranking time without overheating, includes mounting bolts and shims where applicable, made in USA from 100% new components.
Fits 153 or 168 tooth flywheels Works on small block or big block Chevy engines. This starter will crank engines with up to 18:1 compression.
