Is your tunnel space too limited to use a transmission mounted shifter? Consider a Lokar Floor Mount Automatic Transmission Shifter for your 1978-1988 Regal. As its name implies, the shifter mounts to the floor on the transmission tunnel using Lokars exclusive mounting brackets. Kits also include three arms for offset mounting(especially helpful when mounting through existing consoles). The Lokar collection of shifters is designed to prevent accidental shifting into reverse from park or neutral with Lokars exclusive Safety Lock-Out Button. When in park, the Safety Lock-Out Button is flush with the knob and is virtually undetectable.
